Hello everybody!!!
Allow me to introduce myself.
Gramps is the name and poetry is my game.
Just in case you are wondering, the other chap is Michael White who helps out occasionally.
Typing the verses, sending messages and so on.
You know the necessary backroom support while I get on with the creating.
Although I must admit he makes a mean cuppa.
“Gramps’ Nonsense Poems” is my first collection of silly verses which, I am sure, will appeal to anyone
from 8 to 80 with a good sense of humour and a love of laughter.
Each poem is supported by a great illustration
crafted by Ian Ward.
And soon there will be number two to look
forward to!

At the bottom of his garden surrounded by flowers
Gramps built his hut and spent hours and hours
Busy writing
In his warm cosy hut though it seems quite absurd
He stored hundreds and hundreds of big and small words
Just waiting
Most of the day he would toil with his pen
Writing silly poems - verse after verse - in his den
And thinking
Then he had an idea – it suddenly appeared
Out of the blue - into his thoughts – very weird
Just amazing
He would put all of his verses together as one
Make a Nonsense Poem Album it would be such fun
So pleasing
For all you good children a fabulous treat
